Anemone hupehensis var. japonica 'Pamina'
Height x Spread: 90cm x 60cm
One of the older varieties of Japanese anemone, 'Pamina' remains deservedly popular for its large deep-pink double flowers with golden yellow centres that deliver a real punch of late summer colour to the garden border. More compact than other forms, its neat leaves act as an attractive foil for other plants during the summer before its own floral display starts.
For the best results, plant it in a moist, fertile soil, with added organic matter in part shade to sun. It looks great mixed with blue varieties of Symphyotrichum and purple foliage forms of Actaea. Spring is a good time for tidying up the spent foliage plus dividing your existing plants.
