Handy hints for using our new website

It turns out that creating a new website is a little like moving into a new home. First of all you need to get use to the new layout and then you need to work out where all the furniture is going.

If you have visited our website recently you might have noticed a few changes.

Here we will give you a few handy hints on how to navigate our new website.

Search for a specific plant - Use the 🔍 (magnifying glass) Top right corner.

Search by Genus  - A-Z search. Via the dropdown menu. Our alphabetical list includes all of the plant Genera we stock throughout the course of the year.

Filter and Sort - by Flower Colour, Season, Soil Type, Soil Moisture Content, Height, Sunlight and availability.

Use these filters to find plants which will thrive in your garden. Perfect if you’re working on a planting plan. To filter our entire range go to our home page and scroll down to our featured collections and click on ‘All Plants’ .

Look out for Logos

Stock availability

We are a working nursery, our plant availability is constantly changing. Each week we personally select plants for our on-site nursery shop, the website and the various flower shows and plant fairs we attend. When selecting plants for mail order we check to see that the plants have a good root system before we add them to the website.

Terminology

Temporarily unavailable - I am writing this in June and we are busily potting plants while our propagation team are working hard to produce all of the stock we require for the year. We are not yet at peak availability so please continue to check plant status as it changes frequently.

If you open the information page for the plant, you may find the following terms -

Back soon - our stock has been potted and we are waiting for it to grow-on. Typically we will be adding stock to the website within the next two-three weeks.

Available Spring 2027 - we have sold all of our sock for the current season but intend to have stock of this plant next year.

Stock availability in the Nursery Shop.

If you visit us you may find plants which are not currently available on the website - they may be too tall or just too delicate to put in a box. Here is a list of the plants you will find in our Nursery Shop

Over the coming weeks and months we will be working on adding more photos, updating the plant filters and continuing to add stock - we hope you enjoy browsing our website.
