Each year RHS expert groups recognise and shine a light on those individuals who are making an outstanding contribution within their plant group by presenting a special award.

This year Rosy was honoured to receive the RHS Alan Bloom award for her achievements in respect of herbaceous plants, presented by the RHS Herbaceous Plant Expert Group.

The award is named after Alan Bloom, who introduced over 170 new plants during his lifetime in Bressingham, Norfolk. A garden he created by expanding the family nursery. Alan was awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour in 1971 and was made MBE in 1997.
On Press Day at the Chelsea Flower Show, Rosy was presented with her Alan Bloom glassware by another, Alan, this time Alan Titchmarsh, CBE.
