Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Masses of bright yellow florets form dense, flat flowerheads — excellent landing pads for pollinating insects — held above finely cut, slightly fuzzy mid-green foliage.
Reliably long-flowering through summer, it brings warmth and brightness to a border without overwhelming it. Combines well with strong blues, pinks, purples and dark ornamental grasses. The flowerheads also cut and dry well, holding their colour beautifully. Best in a sunny position in free-draining soil.

Care Guide:
Achillea 'Sunbeam' is drought tolerant once established but dislikes heavy, wet clay over winter. Cut back after the first flush of flowers to encourage repeat-flowering. More clump-forming than many achilleas, it is less vigorous but benefits from division every three to four years to keep it flowering well.
