Crocus Large Flowered Yellow is a very useful early spring crocus, equally at home in small pots as it is naturalised through grass, where it creates vivid swathes of clear yellow at one of the most welcome times of year.
Plant in combination with the Large Flowered Blue for a classic contrast, or pair with dark purple tulips for a bold, cheerful display. Plant from September to December, 7cm deep in any well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Scatter the corms before planting for a natural effect in grass, or plant in clumps.
