Geranium × oxonianum ‘Walter’s Gift’ produces an abundance of mid-pink, cup-shaped flowers sporting a network of purple-pink veins, carried over mounds of striking mid-green foliage delicately blotched and finely edged with brown. Sought after for its unusual foliage, this is a floriferous and long-flowering cranesbill.
Low maintenance and versatile, it works well in containers on a terrace or adjacent to steps where it will gently tumble. It makes excellent ground cover, especially on slopes and banks where its striking foliage and flower combination looks particularly effective planted in numbers. Removal of faded stems and foliage will encourage fresh growth. It thrives in any reasonably fertile soil that is not waterlogged, in sun or partial shade.
