Pulsatilla vulgaris ‘Blaue Glocke’ is a beautiful form of the Pasqueflower with finely divided, grey-green hairy foliage. In early spring, large bell-shaped lilac flowers open with a silky sheen, followed in summer by attractive large, fluffy seed heads that extend the plant’s season of interest well beyond flowering. Tolerant of salt-laden air, it grows happily in coastal gardens. It thrives in a gravel garden or sunny border in well-drained soil.
