100% Peat Free Pollinator Friendly

Widely known as the Common Foxglove, Digitalis purpurea is a much-loved plant bearing lofty spires of bright purple-pink, thimble-like flowers that hang downwards to one side above a basal rosette.

Practically a must for any cottage garden border, it adds interest and height as it grows through other plants, and looks wonderful planted in swathes through a dappled woodland garden. A true bee magnet, this biennial will self-seed freely. It thrives in dappled shade in humus-rich soil but can tolerate full sun if the soil is not too dry.

Caution: all parts are poisonous.
