Helleborus × hybridus ‘Amalia’ (ViV Series) is a sterile double hellebore bearing large, bright white flowers that surround a lime-green centre. The blooms evolve beautifully through the season, fading first to cream and then to soft green as spring progresses — providing months of interest from late autumn through to early spring.
The leathery green foliage offers year-round structure. Well suited to partially shaded and shaded positions, it performs equally well in containers and in beds and borders. Its nectar-rich flowers are a valuable early resource for winter pollinators.

Care Guide
Remove any damaged or diseased leaves in autumn. As flower buds begin to develop — typically from late December — remove the remaining foliage entirely. This improves the display and helps prevent hellebore leaf spot. Mulch around the base with organic matter after removing the leaves. When planting, dig a generous hole and incorporate leaf mould, well-rotted garden compost, or well-rotted manure. Plant at the same level as the pot. Allow plenty of space for the leaves to spread from the central crown. In late spring, remove spent flower stems to tidy the plant and prevent self-seeding.
