100% Peat Free Pollinator Friendly

Masses of dark violet-purple daisies with golden yellow centres smother this compact, dome-shaped Michaelmas Daisy, Symphyotrichum novi-belgii 'Purple Dome', above narrow mid-green leaves. It delivers intense, jewel-like, long-lasting colour in a herbaceous or mixed border from late summer into autumn.

It looks particularly good combined with golden yellows such as Rudbeckia, deep oranges, blues and pinks. Bred for improved mildew resistance, its nectar-rich flowers are very attractive to butterflies. An excellent cut flower too — deadheading faded blooms will prolong the display. Low maintenance, it prefers a rich, moist, well-worked soil in full sun.
