Euphorbia seguieriana shines for its combination of feathery grey-green needle foliage and clusters of vivid lime-green bracts on dark, ginger-toned stems from midsummer to early autumn.
It fills the colour gap left when the spring and early summer euphorbias fade, and has proven very popular with customers. Hardy and clump-forming with an open, informal habit, it looks superb combined with dark ornamental grasses or autumn-flowering perennials such as Symphyotrichum turbinellum. It performs best in free-draining soil in full sun.
Harmful if eaten; the sap is an irritant to skin and eyes.
