Commonly known as Small Yellow Foxglove, Digitalis lutea bears wands of dainty, soft yellow tubular flowers on robust stems with narrow bright green foliage above basal rosettes.
Reliably perennial, this delicate plant is a little gem, bulking up quickly and delivering subtle, long-lasting highlights in a woodland or shady cottage garden. Attractive to insect pollinators, it stays upright after flowering, adding further interest into autumn. It thrives in neutral to alkaline, humus-rich soil in partial shade, but will tolerate other conditions as long as the soil is not too dry or waterlogged.
All parts are poisonous.
