Description
Oenothera lindheimeri Ruby Ruby (G)
Height x Spread: 50m x 50cm
Dark pink almost red flowers are produced in profusion on this plant all summer. The foliage is purple too until later in the year when it becomes dark green.
The plant is compact but not dwarf, making it suitable for the front of the border or in a container, liking a sunny position in reasonable soil. Tidying up the plant should be done in early spring, by cutting it to 5 cm promoting new growth from the base in early summer.
