Allium 'Ambassador'
Height x Spread 1.2m x 50cm
A staggeringly architectural plant with royal purple large globe-shaped heads, consisting of hundreds of tiny star shaped flowers, sitting majestically above tall pillar-like green stalks. Flowering from the end of Spring through to mid-Summer, it provides a very good display for all gardens and can be used in many different styles from long drifts through a lawn to provide a natural divide or as a statement in a border.
Alternatively, pair it in a border with Salvia atriplicifolia ‘Little Spire’ PBR (Pe) or Salvia ‘Indigo Spires’ to reflect the different purple hues and different statures of the plants for more texture. This plant does well in any soil but prefers it to be moist but well drained. Flowering in early summer it requires full sun for the best display. Pollinator friendly.
