Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
A compact, semi-evergreen perennial forming a low, spreading mound of wonderfully tactile, soft and aromatic silvery foliage, finely divided into hair-like lobes. Small yellowish, nodding flower heads appear in short clusters in summer, though it is the foliage that is the real draw.
It thrives in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun — a gravel garden is ideal. Versatile and easy to place, it works well as path edging, ground cover, or trailing gently over the edge of a container. Leave the old foliage in place until spring, then prune back to a tidy shape. Avoid heavy, poorly-drained soils, which can cause it to die back.
