Centaurea montana 'Carnea'
Height x Spread: 45cm x 60cm
'Carnea' produces a mound of grey/green lanceolate-shaped leaves. From late spring to early summer fancy pale pink cornflowers appear, held on upright stems.
Perennial Cornflower will tolerate almost all soil types, however it resents being waterlogged, it thrives when planted in a free-draining sunny position. This is the perfect plant for coastal areas as it is salt-tolerant. Deadhead regularly to encourage further flowering. When plants start to look untidy cut the whole plant back to encourage fresh foliage growth .
