Digitalis lutea
Height x Spread: 60cm x 50cm
This shorter foxglove bears wands of dainty soft yellow tube-like flowers on robust stems with narrow bright green foliage above basal rosettes.
Reliably perennial, this delicate plant is a little gem bulking up quickly and delivering subtle and long-lasting highlights in a woodland or more shady cottage garden. Attractive to insect pollinators, it stays upright after flowering adding further interest in the autumn. Digitalis lutea thrives in a neutral to alkaline humus-rich soil in partial shade, but can also tolerate other soil conditions and situation if not too dry or wet.
