Echinops bannaticus 'Taplow Blue'

Commonly known as Globe Thistle this is a brilliant plant for the back of a border giving height and structure. The flowers are an amazing blue and a magnet for bees, making it a must have plant for a wildlife garden.

It will form a large clump over a few years and can be divided quite easily in the autumn. It is an easy to grow old traditional border plant that will grow in most soil types in sun or part shade, but heavy shade should be avoided.
