Heuchera americana
Height x Spread: 30cm x 40cm
Forming neat, compact mounds of silvery-green scalloped leaves with strong purplish-brown veins, Heuchera americana makes a fantastic foliage plant for any partially shaded area in the garden. But just wait until late summer when its elegant flowerstems bearing dainty pinky-white bell-shaped flowers appear, a delightful combination.
Tough and hardy, it is often used to breed new Heuchera, but we love it for its naturalistic self. It thrives in any rich, moist but free draining soil in partial shade but can cope with more sun too.
