'Feuerkerze' also known as 'Firecandle' is a cultivar of Lythrum, it is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial. Rose-red flower spikes appear during midsummer.
A sunny site with a moisture retentive soil is preferable, boggy situations are ideal. Deadhead after flowering to avoid self-seeding, lift and divide large clumps during spring.
