Potentilla 'Gibson's Scarlet'

Potentilla are commonly known as Cinquefoil. 'Gibson's Scarlet' has stunning single, scarlet red flowers with dark centres, during summer. It is a clump forming perennial with silvery-green palmate strawberry-like leaves with toothed margins.

A superb plant for exposed, sunny locations. It can be divided during the autumn. Performs at its best in any reasonably good, well drained soil. 'Gibson's Scarlet' usually dies back in the winter, you can cut back any remaining stems to the ground the following spring.
