This cultivar of Achillea ptarmica has a distinctive button-like flower shape, producing masses of double white flowers in mid-summer that contrast beautifully with the dark green, finely cut foliage. Tall and elegant, it flowers over a long period and is a great way to lighten the impact of denser, darker planting.

Reliable and low-maintenance, it also cuts well for vases. It prefers full sun but tolerates light shade and most soil types.

    Achillea is drought tolerant once established but dislikes heavy, wet clay over winter. Cut back after the first flush of flowers to encourage repeat-flowering. Divide clumps every three to four years to keep plants vigorous.
