Collection: Ageratum
Family Asteraceae
Ageratum is a genus of around 43 species of annuals, perennials, and shrubs native to the tropical Americas, from Florida and Mexico to South America and the West Indies. Bushy in habit, they produce simple ovate leaves and clusters of small, fluffy flower-heads in blue, pink, or white through summer and autumn. We grow one half-hardy perennial form — a useful late-season addition to the border or container.
Best in moist but well-drained soil in a warm, sunny position. Combines well with Salvia, Verbena, Dahlia, and Stipa tenuissima.
