Commonly known as Snow Rush, Luzula nivea is a bushy, spreading, evergreen perennial forming a loose clump of broad, grass-like foliage, with clusters of small white flowerheads appearing in late spring.
It thrives in dense or dappled shade in moist soil, making it a superb choice for woodland gardens, bog gardens, and as an underplanter for trees and shrubs. It will also tolerate sun, provided the soil is kept moist.
