Commonly known as Snow Rush, Luzula nivea is a bushy, spreading, evergreen perennial. A loose clump of broad, grass-like green foliage hosts clusters of small white flowerheads during late spring.
It thrives in dense or dappled shade in moist soil, making it a superb choice for woodland gardens, bog gardens, and as an under-planter for trees and shrubs. It will also tolerate sun, providing the soil is kept moist.
