Vigorous perennials with strong, wiry stems and lobed leaves, bearing hollyhock-like pink to bluish-purple flowers from summer to autumn. Native to arable ground, coastal margins and brackish marshes from western Europe to Central Asia. Hardy’s grows only the perennial forms.
