Centaurea montana ‘Joyce’ is a neat, compact perennial with silvery-green, lance-shaped leaves that set off its distinctive pink, cornflower-shaped flowers, each with a deeper pink centre, from late spring into summer.
More restrained in spread than other forms of Centaurea montana, it is particularly well suited to smaller borders and gravel gardens. It thrives in full sun in most well-drained soils, including chalk and clay, and is attractive to pollinators.
