Scabiosa Kudo Pink ('Ichpin'PBR) (Kudo Series)
Height x Spread: 45cm x 50cm
Large, soft pink blooms with an inner dome of pin-like flowers encircled by flouncy ruffled petals, float on slender stems above clumping, deeply cut grey-green leaves. This recent introduction from Japan is swiftly gaining popularity for its large flowers that are borne prolifically throughout the summer and autumn.
Planted in drifts through a gravel garden, as informal edging to a path, or an ingredient in a flower meadow. Much beloved by bees. Deadheading regularly will help lengthen the flowering period. Easy to grow, it only needs a very sunny spot in moderately fertile, well drained soil that is neutral to alkaline to thrive. A Hardy's Introduction in 2015 at Hampton Court Flower Show.
