Salvia argentea

Commonly known as 'Silver Sage', it forms large rosettes of soft, furry, silver foliage above which, appear tall stems bearing white hooded flowers with pink tinged lower lips. 

More widely grown for its striking, tactile foliage than its flowers, it is a superb candidate for a gravel garden or Mediterranean style planting scheme. This plant is a biennial therefore leave the flowerheads to go to seed. It thrives in light, fairly fertile, free draining soil with some moisture, in full sun.
