Centaurea montana 'Alba'

This white flowering Knapweed or Cornflower, produces its blooms from attractive scale-like buds during early summer. Known for being a vigorously growing perennial, 'Alba' produces mat-forming silvery-grey foliage.

Knapweed is ideal for sunny or semi-shady areas which have free draining soil. A great plant for covering banks and slopes as well as planting in your flower beds and borders. It is perfect for a cottage garden setting - it's flowers also cut well for displaying in a vase. Deadhead regularly to encourage further flowering. When plants start to look untidy cut the whole plant back to encourage fresh foliage growth.
