Bistorta affinis 'Superba'

Commonly known as Knotweed, 'Superba' is a mat-forming semi-evergreen perennial. A mat of dark green leaves creates a carpet beneath pink flowers which turn to crimson with maturity. 'Superba' blooms during the summer followed by excellent autumn foliage colour.

This is a fantastic ground cover perennial which provides multiple seasons of interest, and is great for underplanting trees and shrubs or for edging borders and walkways. Happy to grow in poorly drained soils or moisture retentive well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade.
