Bistorta officinalis 'Superba'
Height x Spread: 90cm x 75cm
'Superba' has sensational spires of small rose-pink tubular flowers during early summer. This vigorous, bushy clump-forming perennial has oval-shaped leaves with pointed ends and prominent veins.
A great plant for covering banks and slopes or providing ground-cover within flower beds and borders, and for coastal situations. Moisture retentive soils are ideal for this perennial which will grow well in bog gardens, by the edges of ponds and stream sides. Remove the faded flower spikes.
All parts of the plant can cause skin irritation.
