Potentilla alba
Height x Spread: 20cm x 50cm
Attractive grey-green, strawberry-like palmate leaves create a mat beneath the single, pure white flowers which appear in clusters, first in spring and then occasionally again in autumn.
This low growing Potentilla needs to be planted towards the front of the border; it could be used as edging along a pathway. It is perfect for planting in a white garden where it will provide early interest.
It can also be usefully employed as ground cover, especially on awkward banks or slopes. It thrives in sun or partial shade and can be planted in any reasonable soil.
