Ranunculus aconitifolius 'Flore Pleno'
Height x Spread: 50cm x 60cm
Commonly known as Fair Maids of France, 'Flore Pleno' has gorgeous double, button like flowers held on long dark stems. Dark green lobed leaves, similar to those of Aconite, sit beneath the sterile, long-lasting pure white flowers that appear during late spring.
Moist, humus-rich soils and partial shade are desired by 'Flore Pleno'. It needs a cool, sheltered position making it the perfect companion for other woodland perennials and deciduous shrubs. Areas shaded by walls or fences are also perfect for this non-invasive buttercup. This Ranunculus is summer deciduous, after flowering it will die away becoming dormant throughout the summer months, before reappearing the following spring. Be careful not to mistakenly dig it up.
