Alchemilla mollis

A haze of vivid, yellow-green flowers appears over a long time in summer.  These bob just above the large mid-green leaves, which look wonderful with rain or dew drops on them.  

A great plant for garden situations where nothing else seems to work, as it can cope with any soil that has a bit of moisture.  Really versatile, use it for underplanting shrubs, helping to knit a bank together or just to attract pollinators.  

In August cut down the whole plant including leaves to 2.5cm from ground level and allow it to regrow. This will keep it tidy and reduce seed spread.
