Amsonia 'Ernst Pagels' produces clusters of large, star-shaped, pale blue flowers in early summer above arching, fine-leaved foliage. The green leaves turn to beautiful warm tones of yellow and orange in autumn, giving this plant genuine multi-season appeal.
Tolerant of shade, it suits woodland settings and is deer-resistant. Plant towards the middle or back of a border in any reasonably good soil in sun or partial shade.
