Amsonia hubrichtii

Small star-shaped pale blue flowers are held above very fine narrow foliage in spring. These plants can take time to establish, but will make good sized clumps which look spectacular in their glowing autumnal colours of yellow and red. 

Much sought after by designers for the combination of delicate flower and feathery foliage, plus value over several seasons, Amsonia hubrichtii really punches above its weight in a mixed border.   For dramatic impact plant in groups, or as a spot plant towards the front.  A perennial for sun or part shade that will tolerate drier soils.
