A very tall elegant plant for the middle to the back of the border, flowering in early summer. Always a popular plant at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, its intense, true blue flowers combine fabulously with whites, yellows and clear bright oranges.
A sunny border with free draining soil is required and do not plant it too deep. After the main flowering period cut the stems to half height and it will re-bloom.
Can be an irritant to skin - be sure to wear gloves when handling plant
