One of the most graceful of the Japanese anemones, Anemone × hybrida 'September Charm' produces a long succession of rounded, pale pink flowers with a central boss of golden stamens on tall, wiry stems from July to September. The bright green, deeply divided foliage forms a handsome clump that fills out well over time.
Easy to establish and beloved of pollinators, it thrives in full sun to partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Once settled it will spread steadily; lift and divide clumps in early spring to keep them vigorous.
