Anemone Regal Swan ('Macane044') PBR

One of our best-selling anemones — both reliable and beautiful. Hardy to -10°C and happy in almost any moist but well-drained soil, Regal Swan produces very large, pretty blooms that open from round, deep purple buds to reveal bright pink and white flowers with yellow stamens from July to September. The backs of the petals retain their deep purple colouring and sway in the breeze, showing off both sides to great effect.

Unlike many of the older Anemone × hybrida types, this is clump-forming and begins flowering earlier in summer. It prefers partial shade but will tolerate more sun in sufficiently moist, humus-rich soil. Bred by Elizabeth MacGregor as part of the Wild Swan series.
