Commonly known as Snowdrop Anemone or Windflower, this pretty plant opens from delicate hanging buds into pure white saucers with bright yellow stamens that face up to the sky.
Happy in deciduous shade, it forms large clumps and flowers in late spring to early summer. Quicker to establish than other spring Anemone species, it makes very pretty ground cover, happily disguising faded spring bulb foliage. It can cope with some dryness in the soil, as long as there is a good organic matter content.
