Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Quite the statement plant, the flowering season for this Angelica is late summer, when it produces wonderful spherical, ruby red flower heads, on elegant dark red stems, above large deeply cut green leaves.
It is a biennial and as such you get basal growth in the first year and then flowers in the second year, after which the plant dies but produces seed. It is a tall plant and is best planted towards the middle or back of a border.
The flowers attract a multitude of pollinators!
