Arachniodes simplicior

A glossy evergreen fern from East Asia that bears a striking pale mid-line on a shiny mid to dark green triangular frond. Best in part-shade on moist but well-drained soil. Hardy to -10C in a sheltered free-draining site. Remove old or damaged fronds at the base in spring before the new fronds emerge.

Spreads slowly via short rhizomes and spores. Ideal for woodland style gardens, containers and winter flower arranging. Looks great with Hostas, Helleborus, Primroses and Pulmonaria.
