Baptisia 'Chocolate Chip'

This beautiful 'False Indigo' forms clumps of delicate blue green clover-like foliage above which soar spikes of dusky soft brown and yellow flowers in summer. The dark grey seed pods that follow in autumn are an added attractive bonus.

Wait until the foliage has blackened before cutting it down. A versatile low maintenance plant, it suits many styles of planting, from borders to cottage gardens to prairie planting. To flourish it needs full sun and a well-drained soil.
