Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana var. alba hort.

This elegant Begonia boasts large white flowers on tall branching stems above crinkled, heart-shaped olive green foliage in summer.

A low maintenance plant, it makes an unusual addition to any informal or Mediterranean planting scheme but can also be successfully grown in a container. A hardy perennial in coastal and relatively mild areas, this plant will appreciate good but indirect lighting, so partial shade is ideal. It needs fertile, free-draining neutral to acidic soil to flourish.
