Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Masses of white, daisy-like flowers with golden centres are produced on tall, branching stems from late summer well into autumn, adding considerable height to the late-season border. The narrow, mid-green foliage is elegant throughout the season, and the flowers are a magnet for bees and butterflies.
Native to North America, where it grows on gravelly shores and in sandy thickets, Boltonia asteroides var. latisquama is a tough, adaptable plant that thrives in any reasonably fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. An excellent choice for the back of a border or a cutting garden. Stake in exposed positions.
