Brunnera macrophylla ‘Alexander’s Great’ — Siberian Bugloss — produces a large, impressive mound of heart-shaped leaves, predominantly silver with a striking network of deep green veins. In spring, small bright blue, forget-me-not-like flowers are borne above the foliage on slender dark stems, creating a beautiful contrast of colour.
An excellent perennial for the front of a shaded border or as ground cover beneath trees and shrubs. It will grow in any reasonably good soil in full or dappled shade, and can be divided in autumn.
