From spring to early summer graceful sprays of deep blue Forget-me-not-like flowers are held aloft on dark stems above beautiful heart-shaped silver leaves with defined green veins and margin.

This superb ground covering perennial more than earns its place in a dappled or shady garden due to its long flowering period and the striking contrast between flower and foliage. A must-have plant to lighten shadier areas of a deciduous woodland garden. For the most attractive foliage this plant prefers a moisture retentive humus-rich soil. It can tolerate a drier soil but the foliage will be less luxuriant.
