Campanula glomerata var. dahurica

This Campanula is commonly known as the Clustered Bellflower, it bears dense clusters of violet, bell flowers within the leaf axils of its upright stems. The hirsute basal foliage is usually ovate to lance-shaped with a toothed margin.

This clump-forming perennial will spread and can become invasive, it is however a very useful ground-cover plant and is an excellent choice for a wildlife garden or a cottage garden where it has space to roam, its flowers also cut well for floral arrangements.

When planting pick an area with a sunny location and well-drained soil. Native to Europe and temperate Asia.
