Commonly known as Milky Bellflower, Campanula lactiflora 'Prichard's Variety' has upright, branching stems bearing clusters of stunning violet, star-like bellflowers from midsummer through to autumn. This clump-forming perennial has bright green leaves with a slightly serrated edge.
It grows best in fertile, neutral to alkaline soil. When planting in borders, choose a spot in partial shade — it will tolerate some sun during the day. Apply a layer of mulch to keep plants moist in summer and well fed, and stake in exposed positions.
