Cerastium tomentosum 'Silberteppich', commonly known as Snow-in-Summer, has been specially bred to produce a softly creeping cloud of pure frosty-white flowers with greater impact than the naturally found species form.
A bold choice for early summer flowering ground cover and edging, it also looks stunning gently tumbling over a sunny wall or softening the edges of hard steps, especially in a white garden. Do not be fooled by its daintiness — it is actually very tough and can withstand being walked over if not too frequently. Thriving in full sun in free-draining soil, it would be equally happy in a gravel or rock garden. Keep it tidy by cutting back hard to 5cm after flowering.
